Group workshops are conducted by the Writing Center director, addressing a variety of writing tasks, issues, and assignments. The workshop schedule changes every quarter. Some workshops are offered more than once per quarter; in such cases, the content is the same each time the workshop is offered, so students should just sign up for a single session.
Faculty, administrators, and student organizations interested in requesting a workshop tailored to their specific needs should contact the Writing Center director: firstname.lastname@example.org
All workshops are limited to a maximum of 30 students. To sign up for a workshop, students must first register with our online scheduling system. If you have not registered before, click on the “Register for a Workshop” box on our webpage, select “Click here to register” on the resulting screen, and follow the instructions. After registering with the system, you can reserve space in a workshop by selecting the current quarter's workshop schedule in the “Choose a Schedule” drop-down menu, found on the login screen or at the top of the weekly calendar page.
On the workshop calendar, find the date and time of the workshop you would like to attend. If the workshop is not yet full, hovering the mouse over the appropriate square will provide the message: “There is an existing group appointment in this time slot. Click to join this appointment.” Click to open a pop-up window and input your workshop information. Enter the workshop title in the “Course Code or Workshop Title” field, Picciotto in the “Instructor” field, and any particular questions or concerns in the “What would you like to work on” field. Click “Save Group Appointment” and return to the workshop calendar, where your desired workshop space should now be gold rather than white. To cancel/withdraw from this workshop at any time, click the gold square and select “Cancel This Appointment” in the resulting pop-up window.
Should you have any questions or difficulties regarding workshop registration, please send us an email at email@example.com.
